Thorough recruitment checks
Excellent recruitment checks are integral to our success. As a minimum requirement all candidates undergo the following rigorous process:
• Identity checks
• Enhanced Criminal Record Disclosure prior to commencing work
• Illegibility to work in the UK
• Face to face interview
• Having at least two years previous childcare work experience
• Undertake a pre-employment test
• Fitness to work assessment
• Undertake an in-house childcare training course
• All nannies are encouraged to enrol on the recognisable childcare training courses, such as NVQ 2.
• On-site induction at client’s premises.
Courses to all Renaissance Childcare Ltd candidates
On the issue of training, the company’s position is that adequate training minimises risks and enhances the quality of care given. The following prerequisite courses are provided by Renaissance:
• First Aid
• Basic food hygiene
• Manual handling
• Protection of Vulnerable Children’s Act (POVCA)
• Childcare Worker’s Training encompassing legal awareness, child protection awareness, health and safety, effective communication skills and any other relevant training as may be directed by the family/ guardian.
